GE Vernova & AirJoule
Helping turn client CAD into two exhibition models
At Manufactured, I helped prepare and build an AirJoule atmospheric water generation model and a GE Vernova direct air capture model for the Aspen Ideas Festival. I worked from client CAD with guidance from the team engineer.
01 / Print preparation
Preparing the CAD for printing
For the GE Vernova model, I split the CAD into printable parts, repaired geometry, and thickened fragile features. For AirJoule, I split parts and worked on print orientation and supports with guidance from the engineer.
02 / Assembly and finish
Covering print defects and assembling the parts
Some areas had visible print defects. I measured those areas, modeled cover pieces in Fusion, and printed and glued the covers in place. I also helped glue the split sections together on both models.
03 / AirJoule details
Adding the logos and NFC tags
I made mockups to compare logo placements on the AirJoule model. I also embedded NFC tags so visitors could tap the model with a compatible phone to open the AirJoule website.
04 / At the festival
The models on display in Aspen
Our team prepared and shipped the models for the exhibit. These photos show them on display at the Aspen Ideas Festival.
