04 / Editorial layout exercise
HEARTSTEEL
For this exercise, I used SHARP’s magazine featuring K/DA as a reference and recreated the style for HEARTSTEEL, another League of Legends band. I designed a cover and four interior pages using existing artwork.

The article page uses placeholder text because this project focuses on the layout.
I designed the layouts and typography. The HEARTSTEEL imagery, related artwork, and lyrics belong to their respective creators.
02 / Layout decisions
Using different layouts across the pages
The goal was to practice recreating an existing editorial style and adapting it to a different band. I used a large title on the cover, then changed the layout inside. The first page uses a grid to introduce the six characters. The article uses three columns, and the final spread pairs the lyrics with a desk image that continues across both pages.
My work here was arranging the images, text, and page layouts; I did not create the character artwork.
